Where do family sessions take place?
Family sessions are typically photographed at sunrise or sunset along the Mackay coastline for soft, natural light and open space. Studio sessions are also available for a more refined, minimalist aesthetic. We choose the setting based on your family’s energy and the atmosphere you’re drawn to.
What if my children don’t sit still?
They don’t need to. My sessions are designed around movement and connection rather than rigid posing. Children are gently guided, but never forced into stillness. The most meaningful images often come from natural interaction.
What should we wear?
Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and allow connection to remain the focus. Styling guidance is provided prior to your session so your wardrobe feels cohesive, effortless and timeless without being overly coordinated.
How long does a family session last?
Family sessions typically run between 45–60 minutes. This is long enough to create variety while keeping the experience relaxed and engaging for children.
Can dogs be included in our family session?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are absolutely welcome. Pets are part of the family story, and including them can add warmth and personality to your images. We simply choose a location that allows dogs and plan accordingly.
When will we receive our images?
Your final, carefully edited gallery will be ready approximately 3–4 weeks after your session. You’ll be invited to view your images privately and select your artwork with clarity and ease.
